Tanev is 34 years old. 5.3m x 4 years would be horrific. I really like the player though, but I am not touching that. Him and Brodie are very comparable.
Bert has played well but he has not done enough (YET) to deserve a raise.
Lily easily gets more as well.

Hmm they might. I personally believe that Kampf is worth his contract. Super hard working, defensive bottom 6 centre. Dubas also REALLY likes him. And rightfully so. 3rd round pick for Kampf would be super reasonable. He is not a negative cap hit asset. At least not in my mind.

I assume the difference between the 4th and the 2nd would be somewhere around that 3rd round pick value. Maybe they just do a 3rd for Kampf 1 for 1. If there is a team interested in Kampf, Pits would be high up on the list of teams to want him.

Pens signed Eller and Acciari in the offseason. No need to take on another 4th liner with term at twice the price they are worth.

Dubas is known to get ALOT of guys who can win ALOT of faceoffs and who are very defensively minded. Leafs had like 7 guys on their playoff roster last year with over 52% faceoff percentage and who all could play centre.

Acciari on the wing and fills in for faceoffs when a guy gets kicked out or on his strong side or if they have injuries.

Kampf is also not priced twice of what he is worth. I though 4 years x 2m-2.5m was reasonable for him. He signed on the upper end of that. I am confident Dubas would have signed him if he made it to free agency.

Now I want to make it perfectly clear, I don't think the Leafs will or should trade Kampf. I think he compliments our group extremely well!

I imagine hawks accept. Warm body and we can always just buy him out. Helps restock some mid/late draft capital we've spent this season on Pitlick/Beauv
