I really don't see the Panthers give up on Lundell like that..... He is only 22, a lot of things that he can prove more...

As a Habs fan I would do that deal. It's pricey, but the Center position comes at a premium and Lundell is the right age and has the right pedigree.

I hope this is enough for Lundell but still don't see FLA doing this... No other A+++ C in there pipeline...
But for a cup Run... getting a Top6 player in mony + young Barron +2nd is probably close in value.. but!

You would have to think the Panthers at least consider this, they improve at center in the short term for a cup run, they get a young RHD with potential and then a 2nd as the cherry on top. I’d like to hear what Panther fans think of this.

Depends on the state of their team around the TDL IMO. Lundell is certainly having a down year. Expectations were high and he is not meeting them.

Realistically they are going to have to let go of one of montour bennett and reinhart in the next 2 years due to salary asks.

If you keep bennett and reinhart you have C cpvered between barkov and those two for the forseeable future. Its the same thing thats happening now where lundell cant get past them in the depth chart.

The money it will take to keep montour is likely a lot and is probably the worst investment of the 3. He is the oldest and has a pretty short track record of being the guy he will want to be paid like.

I actually like this trade a lot and would do it, monahan id a current upgrade on lundell and would be a perfect fit at 3C, Barron is a piece I like a lot, with the fact 1 of ekblad, Montour, forsling will be gone in the next 2 season a guy like Barron would be huge for us and a 2nd is a nice cherry on the deal
