There’s a debate within the Chicago Fandom of weather or not Dickinson is someone you trade for decent value the deadline or resign for veteran leadership. Personally I’m on the boat of resign for anything short of an overpay which would probably be a first round pick. While your trade value is fair, I’m going to have to tentatively decline that proposal from Chicagos pov.

If Chicago does decide to trade Dickinson, this gets it done.

I'm of the opinion that the Hawks best move is to ultimately trade JD because they can sign him in the off season. If they can essentially get (2) 2nds for JD and then sign him ad a UFA...that's tremendous asset management. I'd do the trade above as a Hawks fan.

But the big thing is at least imo is that the blues would rather just hold on to him unless they get overpaid. He’s a good locker room guy who loves Stl, not to mention he has a ton of Swedish friends on the new mls team there so that’s a bonus.

not to mention he could also help our Swedish prospects adjust, hes just a solid player who works well for us. I dont see him going anywhere
