Montreal would have to accept this in my mind. Even if both Ylonen and RHP were in there.

More chance that's gonna be Ylonen.

RHP is really loved by Habs fans.

Not Monahan alone for a 1st, but if they can help upgrade RW at the same time why not

RHP mainly LW? I haven’t watched him much but he has decent stats, underlying metrics and cap hit

I can compare him as a Gallagher style of player. Small player, energic, makes hits, not afraid to go in the corners. But he is a better finisher than Gallagher. He signed for 2 seasons, and he already said that he is REALLY open to sign a extension and let somes money on the table to play for the Habs.

But Ylonen have a way better offensive skills than RHP and have a great shot. And he also scores big goals in somes crtitcals points of the game sometimes.

We can’t compare RHP to Gallagher, Gallagher has no talent. No vision, no hands, no speed. RHP is way more talented then Gallagher. I would compare Xavier Simoneau to Brendan Gallagher

And yes Ylönen is better offensively by a while margin than RHP. It’s frustrating he only gets 4th line teammates and minutes

Yeah RHP is a utility knife kind of guy. Can play either wing up and down the line up and not look out of place. He’s also a local underdog story so the fans love him. Can’t see him going anywhere to be honest.

But Ylonen on the other hand… great offensive upside, fast with good hands and a great shot but can’t seem to get MSL’s trust. It’s weird, but yeah I could see Ylonen on the move even though he’s kind of the type of player we need in Montreal atm.

1st : Gallagher was a former 30 goals scorer.

2nd : I'm talking about the style of player (player with heart who are scary for nothing), not of him righ now.

3rd : RHP nickname with the Rocket was '' Lavallagher'' .....................

Ylonen can’t get good lines mate, don’t plays a lot of minutes, but MSL uses him on the PK & the shootouts ??? He should get 2PP, 2nd line minutes, OT shifts & shootouts

He is on the 2nd PP right now.

But personally, I don't really like so much him, but I put him over Pezzetta.

Last 2 games yes, but he should always be on the PP. Not surprised you don’t like him, I don’t think you have hockey knowledge with what I see from your offseasons/trades

From the rangers standpoint they need a top 9 center and right winger. Seems easier to get them together rather than separate deals with separate teams

I think he sticks him on the PK to try and teach him defensive awareness. But yeah he’s benched him a few times this season for like half the third and OT and then put him out 3rd spot in the shootout. It’s really odd.

Well I think Mony and Ylonen would do the trick, whether Hughes will trade Mony is another story. Sounding more and more like he wants to extend him.

The only hole I see that MSL could not like from Jesse is the physical side. Yes he follows his man, but he has a hard time winning the 1 on 1 puck battles. But even tho he isn’t winning those puck battles, he always keeps the guy on the outside … Caufield on the other hand let them walk in 🤣

Well it’s tough when you’re not much bigger than a leprechaun. Love the kid btw and his back check has been great this year but you can’t expect him to physically keep guys over 6 feet and 200lbs from taking to the middle of the ice. Ylonen on the other hand has the size, maybe that’s why MSL has been so hard on him.

We would accept for any of them even if we would prefer to keep Ylonen
