I think this would be like a one year quick retool thing, would probably make more sense to just trade stamkos, tank for their top 10 protected pick back, draft someone like cayden lindstrom that could maybe play in the NHL sooner rather than later and just go for it again. There only chance is hoping that players on ELC's work out

I didnt make this, I would rather trade for guys on their ELC's that are ready for the NHL. Bichsel is a good add though, he would be the type of player I would be looking to get back

Per the conditions on that 1st round pick from the Hagel trade. It is top 10 protected. If the pick is in the top 10, CHI will then receive TBL's 2026 1st round pick unprotected.

Well, since Tampa traded both their 23 and 24 1st round picks, they offset the conditions. So if the 23 pick were in the top 10 it would become a 25 pick and the 24 pick becomes a 26 pick. Unless, maybe since no conditions were met on the 2023 pick then the conditions on the 2024 pick change to 2025 instead of 2026. Idk... I guess it's possible, but the conditions aren't worded that way.
