Fabbri has more points in 15 games than Kuzmenko has in 25 games. Anyway you look at it this is just bad for Detroit.

Kuzmenko ain’t worth that. He’s a healthy scratch for good reason. Doesn’t backcheck or forecheck. And his hands are so bad now, he can’t even make a 5 ft pass. Much of his production last year was Pettersson serving him up tap ins in the paint. His fitness is questionable too, always gassed at the end of his shifts. He’s trending down right now, which wouldn’t be a problem if it’s just bad luck or a slump, but he legit can’t play which is why he is being scratched.

That deal sounds so much worse than the one offered imo

i mean, kuzmenko had 14 points in his first 16 games of the season. its not like he also cant get hot and go on a run... he's currently in the biggest slump he's ever had in the NHL so its a weird thing to compare

Fabbri is on pace for 37 goals and almost at a point a game pace. So why give up a player that's hot for a player for a player in a slump and then Detroit also gives up Berggren as well, Fabbri is also $1.5M cheaper.
