Edmonton adds multiple picks. We aren't trading Weegar unless he requests a trade, then they probably look to trade him out east not help there biggest rival

Unfortunately with Weegar being on Calgary I didn't think a trade like this would ever actually happen, but he fits our timeline and cap so well I wanted to toss it out there.
Would assume he might fetch a 1st, maybe another mid-late pick too, if he went to an East Coast team.

Weegar's contract is great and Ceci's is not good so not only would it cost a lot to get Weegar it will also cost to dump Ceci

100% agree and I'm an oiler fan. I really can't see flames trading Weegar this early in his contract.

Ceci isn't a dump, he doesn't hold much value but also isn't negative by any means.

The dollar amount on Weegar is amazing given his current play, but the length is somewhat a deterrent (however small that deterrent is).
I see him being worth about a 1st and a later pick, would just depend on the team though.

Don't know if Washington really considers moving Dowd but this is good value if they do decide to move on.

Weegar's contract will probably be dead weight in the final 2-3 years. However, he has a very High defensive rating on his GSVA, and most of those players will be on LTUIR for the final years of their contracts. I'd expect the same for Huberdeau and Kadri.
