Isles fans aren't going to be happy with you. Out of the 3 UFA defenceman we have pretty sure Cole is the least movable. I think if anything they retain on Myers get a 3rd team to bring him down to 1.5m (especially since at most would be 250k of real money (not sure exact amount at the deadline it would be) to make room to sign Bear. Bear would be the best partner for Cole he seems to need a good PMD as his partner it's why I felt he did better with Friedman then Juulsen.

noah dobson is a clear core piece for the islanders. Even if they rebuild or retool he will still be young enough to be the elite defender he has been this season. He is easily a top 5 defensemen in the league right now for both offense and defense.

Myers is a rental, Pettersson is probably 3 years away from playing in the NHL, and McDonough is a 24 year old who has played in 6 career NHL games. I don't think any of those pieces interest the Islanders in a deal for Dobson
