Sharks decline this trade. I can't see Couture being shipped off unless its a deal that has little to no retainment.

- Much smarter for Ottawa to be on Pinto going forward than trade for Logan Couture

- Sharks wouldn't want to retain that much for that long on Couture's contract anyway

- Ottawa should target someone younger with Brannstrom

- They can afford Forsberg next season, I'd keep him if the rest of this season goes well. Allows Sogaard to develop one more year

- Bouchard is not the type of RHD they need to add. And he would be too hard to extend. They'd have to trade him if they made that deal

- In no circumstances Ottawa should trade their own 1st

- Instead of trading for Couture and add a 4.0 AAV, I'd target someone younger and better than Perron

- Greig has no business being on the 4th line. Much better choice at 3rd line Center (and Hollloway on the 2nd line? No chance he makes the top-9)


Brannstrom is not a prospect, he has 200+ NHL games and he is a LHD.
