Crazy how overrated Peeke became. Went from people saying he could get a 2nd to not even thinking he could have positive value lol

I can't see a world where someone hasn't tried a low ball offer like this to CBJ to get Peeke so they are likely waiting for a package they want for him. I can't see only a 6th round pick gets it done.

Let's not pretend he wasn't playing on the top pair basically all of last year, and nearly leading the league in blocked shots. He's not good, but he went from a "top"-pair, young, physical, right-shot d-man (the type of players GMs overpay for) to a regularly-scratched bottom-pair D-man on a bad team with a lot of moderately better options (the type of move that tanks your trade value).

I think it’s more so that the jackets aren’t in a rush to trade him. They could get this if they wanted but they are waiting for the trade deadline and injuries to trade him. Teams love to overpay for players like Peeke at the deadline. His value is probably a third or fourth but they can wait for a team to get desperate

According to some Gull fan accounts and tracking full games thru Twitter, no one outside of Zellweger is playing well enough to get a call up. I think the Perrault and Tracey NHL dreams have just about expired.

Based on lines today Silf draws back in and Strome to C. Personally I’d just move Henrique to 2C and let Groulx and Silf continue giving up nothing against and producing nothing offensively until Z and Drysdale return.

Jones-Groulx-Silf
McGinn-Carrick-Leason.

On D they need to separate Fowler and LaCombe. Together they’re terrible. When apart they’re both solid to good. And that’s largely due to LaCombe not being good on his offside. Need Drysdale back solely for the LHD-RHD balance.
