Reaves was a massive mistake for Toronto. He is basically worthless at this age and Treliving was a total idiot for signing him to three freaking years. Not only does SJ reject but this offer isn't even close.

Reaves is basically the same player now as he was 10-years ago, so if you meant to say "in this age" as in this era then you would be right, but if you meant what you said then you would still be right but it's not a matter of his age. Treliving and the media do think the Leafs need a player like him, so in that sense, the signing wasn't a mistake since he got what he wanted. He had to pay a little more than he would have liked but Lucic wasn't interested in signing. The 3 years on Reaves contract isn't really significant at all, it's just a few 100K against the cap if they decide to send him down.

Why are the leafs trading Minten and Cowan? They seem like two forwards that actually have some grit and can play hockey. Harley in a small sample looks SOFT AS BUTTER all the leafs need.
