Sounds like there’s something brewing involving Perry and Campbell in a deal. But Oilers don’t seem to be willing to move their 1st. I’d expect prospects and young roster players as the sweetener, not the 1st

Chicago is still years away from competing. By the time they are ready Campbell’s contact will be up. It also still doesn’t really matter if they get a first or not. They are heavily loaded on draft picks and would still get some kind of good futures in a deal.

I don’t have the link but Ryan Rishaug was quoted as talking about it. He said the feeling he gets from inside the Oilers is that anything outside of McDavid, Draisaitl, and the 1st are in in play. Perry was mentioned and so was Mrazek
