What are you adding to dump Kuznetsov and then what are you adding to get Lindholm?

He also declines that contract in an instant

i wouldn't expect a 1 for 1 but Kuzy would be a solid stop gap for a team that would likely need to have a fill in spot for Lindholm once hes traded.

No one saw Huberdeau falling off like he did. He was coming off a 115 point season, it was a reasonable contract given what it was at the time. Now if you had a time machine, clearly it would be different but saying because they gave Huberdeau a bad contract in hindsight is reason to make a **** trade is asinine.

I imagine Calgary's interest in Kuznetsov if they are selling Lindholm is extremely low. Backlund and Kadri can play top 6 center just fine on a non-competing team. And Kuzy just keeps them at a high cap while also blocking young guys. Another stop gap is not necessary and you need to have a goal in mind when you acquire a stopgap. Right now Calgary doesn't have any clear prospects that could be a legitimate 1C. We have a lot of high end winger prospects, along with Zary who may slide to center down the line

"it was a reasonable contract given what it was at the time. thats unfortunate... this deadline could be very very good for the Flames. ton of opportunities for them to get 1st round picks

not even close for laine.

leonard + mantha (to balance salary) for laine straight up is the only caps deal that makes more sense for columbus than keeping laine would.

Philly, Columbus, and Calgary say no. The Caps don't come near the Sharks trade.

Yes it could be a very good deadline for us. Good thing our new GM is smart enough to trade Lindholm for picks and prospects instead of a disaster like Kuznetsov

i mean AGIAN i said i wouldnt do a 1 for 1 but if you got 1st + 3rd and Kuzy imo that would be a great value esp if you can get his game going again. as much of a disaster as Kuzy has been

179gp 158p
vs
174gp 141

Linholm has 17 points more over 3 years... people love to glorify how bad Kuzy has been...
