I get it, but he's also our leading goal scorer, a fan favorite, and signed to a very team-friendly deal. Unless someone wants to be throwing around an overpayment, I'm not moving him.
So much of where this team is is just youth development. Fantilli, Voronkov, Marchenko, Johnson, Jiricek, et al. need time. Johnny has really been the only out-and-out dissapointment for me this year (Laine slightly, but he he got off to a ****ed
start to the season).

I look back to Bednar's first year with COL. Roy dumped on the team a few weeks before the start of camp, COL had a
HISTORICALLY bad year, and then the ascension started, slowly but surely.
It's not a 1-to-1 comparison, but It's tough to get past the debacle of an off-season CBJ had, and Vincent is coaching on the fly with a system he would have had all summer to develop and implement. Whether GMJK is here or not next year, you can't really rebuild this team - most of its core is
already young, and in terms of truly tradeable pieces, its Jenner and...?
