Can't see CBJ being interested in Garland without retention. Yeah, he'd improve the lineup, but not having that cap committed in 24-25 and 25-26 is more valuable than the marginal lineup improvement.

Caps pass, they keep their 2nds or tredje them for real reinforcements.

Not to mention unless Bemstrom or Danforth is put on waivers, this doesn’t solve our roster logjam. I don’t think GMJK is making any trade without that being addressed.

I’d prefer we keep CC and trade Boqvist/Peeke instead.

I don't think Pinto is better than Podkolzin, the Canucks have insane winger depth right now so Podkolzin is out of the lineup because he's ineligible for waivers. Podz two-way game is very underrated.

I think both sides decline this offer anyway. It doesn't make sense for the Canucks to move for an unsigned RFA whose asking for too much money. It doesn't make sense for the Sens to move Pinto without addressing the defense.

Sens are going to continue to bet on Pinto


Both teams would have to be convinced that the other player is going to be better in the future, which is doubtful on Ottawa's side with how high they have been on Pinto for a while.
