LMAO. Huberdeau contract is the worst in the NHL. Price is LTIR forever. Monahan and Anderson arent cap dumps. You are essentially saying Huberdeau is not only worth something but a 1st plus. Thanks for the easy ignore prompt.

The Huberdeau contract is a no fly zone. He's 30 and this is the first of an 8 year deal. He was propped up by Barkov. He plays too east-west. Montreal should be the last team Hubie gets dumped. I could always see Florida taking him back at more retention.

Campbell for Allen makes sense as the OIiers are capped out.
Getting not just the extra 2 years of term (Campbell 4 years, Allen this and next season) off the books is worth a ton but the few million in cap space per season.

Before Campbell was put on waivers, a 1st, 2nd and someone like Bourgault that another OP proposed seems more than a reasonable price for not just a better safety net in Allen as opposed to one season wonder Campbell but gives them cap flexibility to address their defensive needs NOW while having the space to sign Draisaitl in the 2024 offseason to an extension.
I dont see the Habs using their last retention spot on Allen as they are saving it for Pearson, Monahan at the TDL.

Foegele for Anderson isnt happening. Foegele is a good fit in Edmonton. He's not the problem, it's Ceci/Kulak money that needs to go as we know Nurse is immovable. Bouchard should be on the block as I said numerous times in the offseason but Oilers homers didnt want to see it but NOW everyone wants to give Bouchard away!

I dont see the point in giving away Montembeault for a third. He was been very good since the Vegas game and he has potential in his mid 20s. They cant rely on Primeau and Jacob Fowler.

Dump Allen if you can for assets but taking on a bad contract like Campbell whom should be immovable will be extremely expensive.

Entering 1st year of a monster 8 eayr contract... has less points than Tanner Pearson on the Habs, same age.
And he was benched all 3rd period yesterday.

Flames have to GIVE a 1st round pick to get rid of his enormous contract.

This place would be fantastic, if most, were balanced. Just imagine actual discusion without flaming and gas lighting while the most used retorts are laughing emojis but sadly, that ain't the case.

Oh my... I couldn't agree more! I'm frankly sad sometimes to see people jumping on each other's throats when a trade is not PERFECT for their beloved team... or fans posting totally OUTRAGEOUS trade proposals. If you actually look closely, I have barely seen any trade where fans of both teams agree, and the reply is always way too intense. Like "Are you out of your effing mind?!?" or seomthing like that. I'm guilty of doing that way too much as well. Truth is, it's HARD, VERY HARD to make a trade where both teams get a need met, AND that the value is fair on both sides. That's why thre are 749937 trade proposals per day here... and only just a handful of trades during a normal year pre-trade deadline in the NHL.

A. LOT. MORE.

Player production alone doesn't exist anymore. It's player-contract. Like Math: playerXcontract.
Random example: would any team want Luke Tuch? I mean, sure.
Luke Tuch at 10 million a year for 8 years? NO.
Luke Tuch at 1 million a year for 8 years? YES.

A lot of ppl here are cowards that would never speak in such a way at another person in real life who's simply posing a question they don't like.

And, what is worse is that most sane and tactful ppl left this place, which is understandable, I need a break a lot of the time because these ppl that gas light are impossible to talk to.
You can make a point in a thread to someone then say something else and another guy will come in and dissect the smallest thing you said completely without context when in the same thread you already acknowledged that same point so you are essentially talking in circles continually when ppl cant even scroll through a thread and are so anxious to attack for likes and to feel tall. Mostly ppl attacking here now instead of trying to make compromise.

It can be such a waste of time to play in the muck here. So when you create this toxic atmosphere here, you have the trolls and the troll army that simply hate left, right and center at every OP

100%

Also, if we pull back a little bit... this is HOCKEY lol. It's hockey, and it's just 'fantasy trade proposals'... for fun.
Yet, there is a ton of vitriol and insults and bashing...

Now, imagine the division in real life, with the political left-right, and all the other issues, war, discrimination of all kinds... even with this relaxed-fantasy-sports fun, people are at each other's throats as if someone was attacking and robbing their own mother...

Yeah, humanity has a long maturing way to go!!!

And again, I can get caught up in it as well, I can get flustered too, it can be like quicksand if you let your guard down and take things personnally. I'm no better. I mean, I try my best to infuse a little kindness if I see it's getting heated for no reason...

Cheers buddy!

Zero chance Calgary does that. Even if Huberdeau never puts up a point and is a 10MM brick on the roster, you just rebuild with him on the team. Giving up assets to dump his salary is how we got into this mess to begin with.

I may be a bit Biased(I wanted a 1st+ for Toffoli, thought Tkachuk would stay) but I never make trafes only steal them since I suck at values. I may overvalue some of the players, and based on some comments, I may even undervalue some since they are underprefroming(Lindholm). Only reason I hate trades is nothing of interest to me. I admit I don't know everything about every prospect, so I could be saying no to the next Kaprizov or the next Yakupov. Either star in the later rounds or bust in early rounds. But a bunch of prospects and a 3rd(not a real trade I have seen just a random idea) won't be getting a top pairing dman making less than 5 mill for multiple more years in Andersson.

Monahan isn’t a cap dump but Anderson is. He’s a top 3-5 worst contract in the league. He’s a bad bottom 6 player making 5.5M for 4 more seasons
