Kings decline, Byfield is filling a role on the top of the lineup, getting better with every game, and wasn't used in either of the long-term trades for Fiala and PLD.
Aside from LA not having the cap space to afford this, they wouldn't trade their top long-term asset for 2 years of Ullmark. Talbot will be fine, if Copley fails, then Rittich will be called up, then they'll look elsewhere for a backup with good numbers (like Korpisalo last season).
