I don't think there's much threat of that anymore. KJ is looking like a bridge situation now and the only real scenario that would have created cap issues for them is if he had earned something like a 7x8 contract this year.

yeah be we still have alot of contracts to sign. we have KJ, Tex, Marchenko, Silly, Bemstrom, Chinakhov, Blanks, and Bean all being RFAs in the offseason.

Sure, but who out of those guys has earned a contract over $2M? Marchenko is about the only one I'd give any kind of significant contract to today and he'd still be a bridge under $4M. Nobody has earned that big, long term contract that would threaten the Jackets' $20M+ in cap space next year.
