That Sens proposal gets nothing but dial tone and voice mail for any other calls for quite a while. Batherson is a nice player, but until the Hockey Canada investigation concludes I don't see anyone being overly interested in a package being built around him, much less for a potential top pairing/top PP Dman

The 2nd trade....why? What possible interest would the Hawks have in 1 year of a RHD when they already have 3 big contract RHD? You could give the Hawks Barrie for free (and not that anything being sent for him is stellar much less any significance) and I would guess the answer would be no thanks.

Batherson is a nice player on a decent contract, but he does not get you Korchinski. The rest of the trade is just Fugazi.

Most Chicago fans will say Korchinski has looked better than expected these first few games. It will need to be a special trade for Chicago move Korchinski right now.

NSH passes, I would hope NSH can get a better return than that for Barrie and they likely can by just waiting till the deadline and selling him to a contender

Batherson scored 62 pts last season in a down year, recovering from an injury all season and playing with a rookie who had just missed a full year to injury too and a guy who was not interested to play in Ottawa much.

I wouldn't trade the 19 y/o as a rebuilding team either but that's not a great post, Batherson would be your 2nd best forward and would be over PPG if he plays with Bedard all year. Actually they would fit together like gloves.
