Savard sucks. Like he’s been worse than Myers the last 3 seasons. He didn’t rebound at all last season. Montreal would have to add a pretty good sweetener for the Canucks to take him on

Savard is perfectly fine. The perception he sucks is only caused by him taking 1st pair minutes when he should be a 4th dman. Habs won't trade him unless they have a good return and they are not looking at dumping him at all. And he has been nothing but a great leader for all the young dmen habs have. Marty praised him last week on the biggest TV show we have in Quebec by saying he's the epitome of leadership and that he would have loved to have Savard as a teammate when he played.

He’s been bad for 3 years, which includes 21/22 when he was the #3 in Montreal and 20/21 when he was the #3 in Columbus and #4 in Tampa after his trade. He’s a Tyler Myers level dman, and you’d need to pay the Canucks to take his contract. We aren’t looking to trade assets for bad players with bad contracts

When GMs are quoting “Character” it’s usually because the other skills have declined to a large degree. Savard may have value to the Habs, but he’s a pretty clear cap dump for everyone else . A team would need to be desperate to trade for him and play him top 4 minutes.

Also, Habs are a young team. If you ask any Habs player under 35 who they value the most as a leader on the team, he's always Top-3.
Gives his heart and soul for theteam. Underrated.

Habs fan actually WATCH him play. And KNOW his influence as far as team spirit is concerned.

Everyone but Habs fans... don't watch him play regularly.
That's why he's nowhere near any trade rumors currently.
