How does this help Montreal at all? Like we need to move at least 2 forwards without bringing in any more and THD is our weakest position depth wise. Also wasting our last retention spot on a 2 year contract for a RHD who we don't want/can't afford to move seems ridiculous.

Way too much going to Anaheim and there’s no point in helping the sens

The only deal the Canucks consider is the Rangers deal (which NYR easily decline)

Why would NYR even consider this

because Boeser puts up 50-60 points with Petey or Miller and Laffy doesn't hit 40

Drury says he wants some of what you're smoking and then says NOPE and hangs up on you.

How is that impressive lol?

Laffy gets 40 at ES on the 3rd line while Boeser is playing with better linemates in the top 6

how is giving two 7th rounders and a 6th for a young 3rd line winger helping the Sens?
It's Vancouver taking advantage of the Sens situation

You are the one using impressive to describe those numbers, I simply am saying Boeser is consistent and higher scorer then Laffy
Anything else is your conjecture

If anything Laffy’s numbers are more impressive given Boeser’s opportunities in the top 6 playing with EP and Miller lol

Not to mention, Laffy is younger, cheaper, higher potential

Because it should cost them a 2nd to get out of that contract have you not been looking at cap friendly for the past two months?

Nonsense trades. What's with the boy crush on Fabro by so many Canuck fans? He’s a low end NHL dman and not improving the blue line to any significant degree. Was he your neighbor??

Seems like you are counter arguing yourself here. Yes he played with much better linemates and had more ice time and only got 10-20 points more... not to mention much more costly.

bottom line is he puts up points and doubt it changes wheather he's beside Miller or Chytil as Boeser is more playmaker then sniper so doesn't need a setup guy because that's what he does
Canucks are the ones taking the risk, not the Rangers as they are in win now mode and can't play young players to give them experience in the tough Metro

Boeser has changed his game since half way last year with being more setup guy then sniper so he doesn't need Miller or Petey to get points as last year he was on PP2 and was setting up Sheldon Dries who scored 11 or 12 goals mostly on pp2 so if he can help Dries score he can help anyone
Canucks need cheaper wingers to get Hughes a partner that's why they do it, betting on Laffy's potential over Boeser's consistency to get a shutdown D on the right side

With all due respect, and probably because you're a Vancouver fan and not a Montreal fan, but the Habs would absolutely never, ever, ever do this trade.

He’s not good defensively, so he doesn’t really fit with Hughes. The fact that he is from BC has got to be the dumbest scouting trait I’ve ever heard.
