Description
Assuming McWard plays a season with Hughes, he could get a decent bridge deal if he can hold that spot down.

Pick for Pod. Some iron on the 4th line. Nino to sure up JT and Brock.

DeMelo for a year giving Willander time to develop. He can be on the ice for d zone faceoffs with Hughes while McWard's defensive game continues to develop. Maybe DeMelo turns into a deadline asset but the team could be solid.

if we're signing a RD for 1 year, why not make it Tanev?

Not sure he'd do that. Don't get me wrong, I'd be happy to see that happen. Jimbo should not have let Tanev leave the way he did but I wonder if that door is closed from Tanev's perspective.

I think he would love to come back, I think that if he were to have something against someone it would be Jimbo, not the org as a whole. Also he is getting up there in age so I think that he might be the new Ian Cole, or he might just be like "F it" and go sign for league min for the leafs and try to get a ring

Would depend on how Podkolzin performs this year but I wouldn't mind trading the comp pick for him. I'm not sure where that pick will be but I assume it would be somewhere in the middle of the round? Either way, unless he tanks or doesn't have any improvements, I wouldn't really mind it.

Lol ya. Contenders will be calling. Not sure if he spends his time in Ontario in the offseason but I can see it.

Flyers would consider it all depending how Pod's 2023-24 season goes.

He's going to be in the AHL to start the season. Depends how the season goes but he may not see a ton of NHL ice time unless injuries or he plays great in AHL. Fortunately, there are some other solid prospects for him to play with in the Canucks system this season.

I mean if he barely cracks the NHL this year that essentially means he is regressing after spending a year and a half in the league so in that case he isn’t worth the 2nd.

NGL, I'm slightly concerned that he will be a bottom 6 guy. He'll be an NHLer for sure but the expectations have dropped. That alone could be worth a 2nd given his age and RFA years. Obviously you want more from lottery guys.

Canucks obsession with wingers hasn't help him or Hog. Not that they don't have to earn it but waiver exemption is a key reason he's down. I think it will be good for him. Maybe he can relax and let his natural talent come through.

Problem is we already have a lot of wingers. If he can’t crack Vancouver then he isn’t gonna crack Flyers either and that 2nd would be out to better use at that point. We have loads of bottom 6 guys already

12.5 is a bit rich for Petey I'd be happy with 11.5.

I don't disagree but I think it will be costly to get 8 years and it would be worth it.
