With Zegras this team would be better but that 2024 1st round pick will probably still be a top ten pick. I'd rather keep it and stay the course.

Yeah I agree it's a toss up with Chicago where they still want to build up a team unlike buffalo already has a core group so I don't disagree with that choice

Hawks should keep giving the kids opportunities to develop .once they know which ones are going to make it & which ones aren’t, is the time to start shopping for free agents & trades where Hawks give up picks.

I don't want Zegras on the Blackhawks. Maybe I have the wrong impression of him, but he just seems like the opposite type of player for the culture they are trying to build. Plus, I don't want to give up those kinds of assets right now. Later on when we are a playoff team, using a 1st on an offer sheet would be more palatable.
