Laughton at 50% retention would be such a good add. I put him 4C here. But can play anywhere on the 3rd line or 2LW either. He would be playing a lot more than 4C minutes (kind of like Kampf in Toronto)
This team looks very good with this addition. Seriously dangerous team all around. they have quite a few AHL depth guys as well who can play in the NHL, if they get injuries.
Would you take any less? Or is this what it would take for you to pull the trigger?
Nah not with retention. Laughton for a 1st and 2nd is still his apparent value no matter what people on here say are fake reports lol. I’m honestly not crazy about the deal cause I think Joseph for only Lassi isn’t great cause I’m not as high on him as I once was and neither are a lot of people apparently but if this is the deal I could live with it. It’s way more fair for both sides than many on here make lol

Just making sure. I tried my best to make this fair value. I think the trade helps both organizations a lot.
I mean I’m sure Sens fans will come on here and tell u Joseph is worth more than Laughton lol but yeah I think it’s fair value
Most Sen fans I have seen like Joseph and like his defensive capabilities but understand their cap situation and that Joseph may be a tad too expensive for what he brings. The consensus seems to be a 2nd round pick to unload him. Some Sen fans would prefer keep him and unload Kubalik instead, since he should have positive value (call it a 3rd round pick today).
I personally think it's best to keep Kubalik and pay the price to unload Joseph. But I understand the other argument.

Everybody on earth also overrates their players lol so the Sens fans thinking it will only take a 2nd or 3rd is half the reason I believe it will cost more

People do for sure. But I think a lot of fans from other teams (myself included) believe the 2nd round pick is fair.
I assume it hasn't been done because Ottawa is waiting to see if they get any big injuries in training camp, before they make the move. No point doing it now, if they can wait a little longer and maybe don't even have to make a move.

We can agree to disagree on ur last point, they should be in a rush lol every day Pinto sits is another day he’s not going to be game ready for a team who wants to push for the playoffs this year. And unless someone goes down for the year u will eventually have to make a move anyway in which case u will have even less leverage
