Kahkonen was terrible last year, but SJ needs to keep him to have 2 NHL caliber-goalies and he can rebound. We would also want to keep our last retention slot.
Not sure why Rangers would want to give up a couple mid-round picks for a goalie who was basically league worst last year.

Dont think MTL would trade that much for Laf considering they prolly could have offer sheeted for alot less.

I must have unknowingly slipped into a coma for a year and missed AL suddenly become one of the highest regarded forwards in the league..

its a paradox with Lafreniere unfortunately.

Either Laf has a great year or at the very least shows some major progression and NYR keeps him long term OR he doesn't and is going to be moved for way less than the above. Both can't happen at the same time.

Lafrenière isn't worth anywhere near that.

Nashville (and Trouba) don't consider the 1st
Montreal doesn't consider the 2nd
Neither team does the 3rd
