Trading Girard and not even getting an NHL player in return is not good.

Or at least picks that amount to a reasonable and realistic value!

Girard will probably be traded, but the return better be more than that!

Agree with everyone else regarding the need for better return if COL moves on from Girard. I think they try and move Manson first, but that will be easy only as a cap dump for low-ish return. Drouin getting a 1-yr deal at almost $2M is unrealistic. He either lights it up and earns longer term or is cut/signed again for league minimum just as a depth move.

Why will Girard probably be traded? Better to keep a quality player on quality contract on the roster and just dump Manson after june 15th?

Manson is a quality player on a good contract when healthy. Besides, if we're talking about resigning Toews, we're going to need the cap space. So tbh, we could lose them both

Since Manson is never healthy, but not damaged enough to be ltir I don't see that contract to be good even though he can be good indeed. Girard is a workhorse that can be counted on all season. But yeah, you're probably right we are likely to loose them both in order to keep Toews. Cap hell will be real going forward..
