Less than a year ago Toronto gave up a career AHL'er for Timmins.. Im not sure if many teams would be willing to give up a 4th for him.

Chicago has too many left handed d .. if they bring in a new defender it would most likely be a right shot.

Personally see Stamkos retiring as a Bolt since the dude basically has his whole life in Tampa, and they probably offer him something better between 6 and maybe just under 7.5 if they can truly make the cap work

"I would say we are, if not done, we're very, very, very close to being done," Davidson said. "There's always things that could come up, but I don't foresee anything coming down the pipe."
~Kyle Davidson

I've personally said getting Timmons (or someone else) for the right side #3RD would be smart because Zaitsev doesn't belong in the NHL. The problem is...KD is expecting steep bargains or more probably payments from anyone willing to send the payment and that's who the Hawks will get. They're not out there targeting anyone.

He doesn't have his whole life in Tampa as he comes home to the Toronto Area for the off season.

But I agree I don't see him jumping ship. That sail passed in 2016.

If your vision has Timmins going to the Hawks for a 4th round pick, I would strongly suggest a new optometrist.

Yeah of course, dude definitely comes back home to visit family and train with his specialists for sure.

Also I'd say it's a bit of a risk for Toronto to sign him, even if he's played his best years of hockey over the last 5 seasons. it's more of a want than a need.
At 33 and his injury history it's always a bit of a gamble, but I think both him and Hedman will remain in Tampa Bay to mentor the next rookies at the very least.

Assuming this is next year, since it is a 2024-25 ACGM
