With the collapse of Bally Sports, it's going to be interesting to see what the cap increase looks like. There are lots of possibilities between, "The cap will rise as expected over the next few years," and, "The cap will only increase a little." As I understand it, it had an effect on the cap NOT increasing this year (helped to cause a $70M shortfall in the escrow balance) but does anyone know what happens moving forward?

mrazek was injury prone and worse than campbell, if he's somewhat a decent goalie in 2 years then a 2nd a 4th for 2 more years is reasonable. Maybe a 1st at max

this is 25/26 lmao, Chicago got Mrazek to move up 13 spots and lost their 38th pick for a total salary of 8.6 million for the the two years. If Edmonton made this trade there would be 8.1 million total salary left on Campbells contract, whos better and less injury prone than mrazek, what's the problem with a free second and fourth?

It's still $10 mil of dead cap. No one is taking that on for a 2nd and 4th. It cost Toronto a first to dump $6 of Marleau, who was still an okay bottom sixer. So, taking $10 for a low end 2/3G will cost more than that.
