Description

I believe Backlund starts the season with CGY and hasn’t fully decided he won’t re-sign, he just wants to see how the Team performs and looks like, but I agree with Weegar, we want guys who know and want to Win in CGY

BOS fans will probably argue DeBrusk is worth more, but Backlund’s a Top Defensive Centre, so their need/want for a Centre requires they give up the Younger, Higher Scoring, yet inconsistent DeBrusk

Hanifin likely starts the season in CGY as well, but will get Traded as well, as soon as the correct value/return is offered

No need to argue. Bruins simply reject. This isn't to say Calgary, if they move him, should look to trade Backlund for picks/prospects instead.

DeBrusk has been untouchable for more return, Bruins also have the cap space and want to re-sign him. This doesn't do it.

You do realize Backlund is 34 years old and does very little for the Bruins in the future.... maybe if it was Hanifin + Backlund for Debrusk

Debrusk for hanifan isn't even close, no chance you'd get both.

Not saying Bruins would get both - but Debrusk for Hanifin is much more even for both sides. Both Debrusk and Hanifin are entering their primes, both on expiring deals, top 6 winger for top 4 D.

Its not this garbage rental for a 34 year old C who won't contribute anything of significance to the Bruins.

I don't think you realize how good Backlund actually is. I get he's not a long term solution but his line was probably the best line in the league last season.
