I see the lines being a bit different but this is close to what I see also.

I like their forward group for the most part. I like their goaltending. I like their defenders BUT they are missing size and physicality in their D. That D core would look much better by adding a guy like Tanev and/or Zadorov to the mix (without losing anyone they currently have).

I thought they needed a big, physical guy on D, more than a puck mover. But I guess the Leafs saw things differently and signed Klingberg. Could still end up being a good signing.

Yep, agree - it’ll be some version of this.
Could be Domi playing 2LW & Kampf 3C, Knies 3LW with Holmberg 4C (Robertson starting with Marlies) but minor issues. Most balanced team we’ve had in the Matthews / Marner era imo.

If starting with a 20 man roster, than I think they have to go with an 11-7 spread. No way that defense core holds up for an extended length of time. I do think that something else is going to happen prior to opening night, Trev has said that he wants upgrade the D. For someone who wants the forwards to play with more "snot" in their game, it seems he has gone in the opposite direction on the back end.

Agree somewhat 3rd line Domi-Kampf-Jarnkrok. 4th line ?-Lafferty-Reaves. Since Lafferty can play all 3 positions it could be numerous guys on the line. Agree with Robertson starting with the marlies, he needs the ice-time.

That big physical guy will be available at the TDL. They continuously get burned in transition because Rielly is their only great puck mover on the point and Nylander is the only one of the big 4 who is excellent in that aspect. Klingberg will do wonders in this regard.
