Description
Canucks bottom out, draft 3OA in 2024. I’m sure some of these trades are off in value, I was just curious to see what it might look like afterwards.

Why would Edmonton give up 2 firsts and Foegele for a guy who had probably the most ridiculous shooting luck last year? And the most 2nd assists in the league at 5v5.

Kings aren't paying two 1st for a goalie. MAYBE some prospects equivalent to two 1st but definitely not picks.

Devils dont need Q. Hughes, certainly not at the expense of our future.
We'll just wait until he hits free agency and get him then

Because foegele is a cap dump that you replace with a guy who just scored 39, even if he regresses to 30 this season, 2 years at 2.75 is a bargain.

That’s fair, I thought a top 7-10 goalie at 2.5x3 would fetch a haul but I’d be fine with prospects.

Foegele isn't a cap dump though. He scored at about 75% of Kuzmenko's rate at 5v5 without posting an unsustainable shooting percentage, and he costs half what Kuzmenko does. Plus he is responsible defensively and brings 10x the physicality.

Kuzmenko v Foegele

Absurd shooting luck and tons of 2nd assists. That ain't worth 2 firsts + a good player.

Habs fan here: I doubt Suzuki is traded. Given that, I doubt Montreal would give up all of those assets for Beau (who hasn't panned out) ,Meyers whos maybe a bottom pair guy with our roster. Pettersson I understand you need value back for him but Montreal declines this. Solely on the fact that Suzuki is our Captain and 1C right now.

Looking at the Devils deal: That's intriguing. All 3 Hughes brothers together would be something. I don't know if NJ gives up that much for him but the idea behind the trade is entertaining to think about!

Well I had him half retained so they cost the same, also 39G vs 13G, 78P vs 24P. On top of that yes his shot % will decrease but if you actually watched him you’d know he scores tons of redirects and rarely shoots.

By your logic you’d trade drai for Kuzmenko because drai is a pp merchant. I may be fairly overvaluing him but you’re woefully undervaluing him.

My logic does not include trading Draisaitl for Kuzmenko, that's literally the opposite of the case I'm making. And I never mention the PP or my value of Kuzmenko, lol.

Try to comprehend before replying please.

In the Kings current state they couldnt take on 2.5m they only have about 200k in cap which means they would have to send a roster player or two the other way with equal value of 2.5m in cap.
