Spreading out the offence gives you three legit top lines. Playing them fairly equally means a solid scoring threat on the ice at every moment. As long as we get decent goaltending this team is going to surprise

From perennial playoff missers to cup contender 😅. Capital city needs to check itself - doubtful to even make the playoffs, 6th best team in Atlantic

They are balanced lines. The third line should get equal playtime as the first. Norris was on pace for 68 points that season as a 22 year old. I think he gets 70 this year. Batherson put up 62 while playing injured and centered by a 35 point rookie. 70 points for him is pretty reasonable when he's reunited with Norris where he was almost point per game that year.

You guys advanced one round of the playoffs for the first time in like 20 years lmao
The sens have won like 10 rounds of playoff hockey and went to the conference finals in 2017.
We've been rebuilding for 5 years, and are now on the come up with a solid core signed long term, while your aging core splits up over the next few years

Nothing of substance? You posted fantasy points numbers and claimed a team that has missed the playoffs six straight years is a cup contender 😂. Nothing to say to that, your words stand alone as a testament to your ‘substance’

Adding Tarasenko, Tatar, Chychrun, Korpislo, and a healthy Norris makes this the same team as it was last year? Your only rationale for the team missing the playoffs is that the sens of 2022 didn't make the playoff last season and that too by only 6 points. Like adding three top 6 forwards (losing one), a top 4 defenceman, and an upgraded tendy wont make any difference. We had Pinto a rookie scoring 35 points as our 2C last season.

I'm a Sharks fan so not a whole lot of Bias here. Their forward group is deeper than Toronto and their d-core is about twice as good.

Not sure why you think your team is all that much better than theirs. especially considering you're about to be losing all your best players to free agency in the next two years

I'd do a 3rd for Kubalik and a 4th but wouldn't trade that Habs 2nd for him, also not seeing where he fits on the Jets lineup as of now so wouldn't likely make the deal unless some other moves happened.

Love the unasked for comments from another bottom feeding team 😅..
I’d say the additional 25 points we put up last year is main reason I think we are better than them. But appreciate your input 😂

First, Norris injury is an excuse - all teams suffer injuries; Leafs lost major pieces yet still finished top 5.
Second, Tarasenko is middle 6 winger, if that. He’s nearing (or already at) the end of the runway. Nowhere nearest the player deBrincat is so clear step back.
Tatar is a signing from the dream world😅? Are we allowed to just magically add players
Korpisalo has been one of the most inconsistent goalies of the past few years, and since he’s playing where previously good goalies underperform - I wouldn’t hang my hat on that.
Improvement but not enough to make the playoffs (again), sorry SENs fans.

My team has nearly triple as many playoff wins as yours in the past 20 years so I'm not sure you have authority to talk trash about a bottom feeder when your team was in this spot for a very long time not too long ago.

I also didn’t go around randomly taking shots at much better teams when the Leafs were ‘re building’. We have made the playoffs 7 straight years (SENs have missed 6 straight) and we finished 25 points in front of them last year but you’re going to drop wisdom that they have better players than us 😂. Just ridiculous 😂

I actually quite like the Leafs, but you came in here and started antagonizing the sens, as if they're not one of the best up-and-coming teams. Leafs window to win is literally this season and then they'll start losing guys to free agency after this season and next. It's not a shot at the org, its a fact. They don't have the cap to sign their top players and they don't have the organizational culture to have those top players take discounts to win

Listen, everyone is entitled to an opinion. But 100% disagree with everything you write, what can I say 🤷🏻. Absolutely the leafs will keep their core players - this is a (arguably the) premiere franchise in the league; no worries there.
And Leafs fans chirping SENs fans (and vice versa) is pretty much what we do up here in the summer. They play in a barn and leaf fans outnumber them at their own home games but they are an up and coming team…but nowhere near the Leafs level yet, in my opinion.

Your defensive pairings are not adequate, the 2 best defensive D-men together and then the 2 best offensively. Also, should be more made based on chemistry

I agree that some of these totals are a bit high but the highlighted is a bit disingenuous. First, I'm sure they are based on healthy seasons from everyone playing 82 games. Secondly, Norris only played in 2 NHL seasons, one was a shortened season due to a pandemic, which was also his rookie season where he paced for 51 pts. In his 2nd season, he got injured and missed 16 games. Paced for 43 goals and 68 pts in that one.

Damn, people are really asking a lot these days... Kubalik only makes 2.5 AAV for only 1 year (zero risk) and scored 20 goals and 45 pts last season. That kind of production is usually quite more expensive
