NSH wouldn't do that. There is no interest in either Bryson or Lybushkin, and the 1st being top 10 protected makes it even harder to agree to that by taking on what would be cap dumps in NSH. The defense pipeline is deep enough that most of them would have likely played a full season in the NHL at this point, but there is no room in NSH.
I've long said Saros to BUF starts with either Ostlund or Savoie, and that still is very much true. Saros isn't likely going to be moved, but if he was NSH would be looking for more quality than quantity. If Ostlund is the piece, then it would be something like Ostlund, UPL, an unprotected 2024 1st, and another pick somewhere between rounds 3 and 5. The higher up that last pick would result in NSH sending a pick as well, but it would be a 4th round pick at highest. If it is Savoie, just take the last pick off, but same package. Saros is top 5 goalie on a friendly contract through 24-25, and is likely worth somewhere around what Sorokin is getting paid. Trotz has all but come right out and say he doesn't intend to move Saros unless the deal blows him away and is effectively an overpay by the receiving team.
