Description
Had to make way too many moves to make the cap hit work so probably not very realistic. And Anaheim probably matches.

Ya no that 2025 1st is staying in habs hands until we know what the pick is. Especially not for Pelletier lol

-Montreal isn't going to move that pick yet and don't have room or a need for Pelletier
-Don't see how that trade benefits Boston, if they're moving Grzelyck its for cap relief, they need help at C, not D
-That is a lot to pay for Lindholm unless there is an extension

If its Florida's 2025 1st, then that means Calgary is either a bottom-10 team or Florida will be worse than Calgary (but not in the lottery). If its the former, then what the hell is the point of all this and if its either then Montreal is still better off hanging onto the pick, since they don't need Pelletier and will have a better idea of needs later.

I thought I was selling low on Lindholm. I dont know why everyone on here thinks a contract needs to be included, there have been 3 sign and trades in the history of the NHL.
I love the we don't need Pelletier, but don't know what we need comment.
As for the pick the only way it's Calgarys pick is if Florida misses the playoffs the next 2 seasons, which could happen but I don't think is likely.

Yep. Anaheim matches for sure. And that Hawks trade is as UNrealistic as they come. Hawks are not giving up a pick for a G and a bottom pair D man they don't need.

They'll need a goalie once mrazek is injured again. And they could use some depth on the back end.

When Mrazak gets hurt, they'll call up Stauber from Rockford to play with Soderblom. And move Weekes from Indy to Rockford to play w/ Commesso. Same moves as last season when both Mrazak and Stalock were out. Gilbert on his best day is a 3rd pair guy. Hawks have Tinordi to play on 3rd pair if it's not one of the rookies. If the Hawks had any interest in bringing Gilbert back, they can claim him off waivers at the end of training camp.

Again until we know we arent giving it up.

With all the injuries if florida somehow crashes and the pick doesnt transfer the habs have a top 1 protected 1st rounder on a likely rebuilding team.

Well said!

The only way the Hawks bring in another goalie is if they are trading for a cap dump which has a significant pick attached to them. Depth d-men like Dennis Gilbert are available every week on the waiver wire.

You guys obviously know the Blackhawks much better then I do. I was originally giving Gilbert back for future considerations, but saw Chicago had injury prone Mrazek and some guy I've never heard of with 2 wins to his name. Just assumed they could use a goalie.

I would take the Pelletier trade if he was at least a 6 feet player. Mtl has too much little promising propects. So this is a no even if Pelletier will have a geat career.
