yes Pesce is better than Brodie, but acquiring him would mean assets (likely 1st round pick +) plus the cap penalties from the Brodie buyout.

And there aren't any free agents left that are better than Brodie. Dumba and Bear are not as good as him. I could maybe see it if the leafs needed more quantity of Dmen (you could maybe get dumba & bear for a little over $5million) but they already have quantity with Liljegren Timmins Geo. They need quality.

That is 100% made up by him. He has no insider knowledge anymore. He said Brodie was a buyout candidate and everyone refuted that. He's just a click bait machine now.

Isn't Seravilli brilliant. He has the "feeling". Just look at the facts. Brodie has 8 team no trade list. Virtually all of the other teams that he on his trade list have no cap for 5m Brodie .

It isn't that Brodie is bad value. If Brodie had bought out (and he can't this late in the summer), the Leafs could have had two 2m players and being cap compliant with , instead of one Brodie and a 21 man roster. Yes they would not be as good on the blue line, but at least more practical roster.

He also said Murray was going to be bought out several times as well. He makes stuff up and occasionally gets it right but when 90% of his stuff is proven bogus, you can't believe it because 1 out of 10 times he gets it right.
