These Nylander trades get worse and worse daily.

-Leafs shouldn't trade Nylander. Just stop. I'm an Islanders fan telling you this deal is awful - and I love Nelson & Romanov. But Brock turns 32 around Opening Night and only has one extra year of term, so you're basically just kicking the can. The other issue is that if you're moving Nylander, it's because of cap reasons - and somehow you've actually *added* cap hit in this trade ($8.5M coming in, $8.36M going out.)

-Speaking of bad cap moves, why? This does nothing to help the Leafs' situation. Muzzin & Murray are both LTIRetired - so it's not like moving Muzzin's deal lets you go back to accruing deadline cap space, since Murray is still there. Keep Muzzin, keep Timmins, and maybe you can run more than a 20 man roster with extra LTIR cushion.

Pleasd don't hit the submit button on a 20 man roster. Any Leaf trades have to address the Leafs cap or lack of, not to make it neutral.

You know it's not mandatory to submit every roster you do right? Why would the leafs do either of these deals? Nylander is worth far more than what youve traded him for, and theres a 0% chance they package Timmins to move Muzzin. He's on LTIR, this makes 0 sense
