Lol not suspect at all that Murray magically pops up with an LTIR injury - when he said he was healthy in May.

He wasn't healthy, he was there if they needed a body in an emergency.

With no cap dumps, the way they do it now is swap Knies with Clifford, Homberg with McMann, and send down Timmins and pray he doesn't get claimed. That gives them 6k space, and I believe they'd accrue enough to swap Clifford for Knies in a month or two.

I imagine Treliving will make a trade to avoid this, though

Why is this remotely surprising? Name one time the league investigated an LTIR scam that punished the team? Look at some of the LTIRetired scams the league has allowed: Pronger, Datsyuk, Hossa etc. I have no idea why anyone thinks teams and players won't exploit LTIR.
