Description
Flames have a lot of balls up in the air with guys not wanting to extend beyond this season. I still think Lindholm ultimately ends up getting moved too, I just don't know what fair value would be for him.

Columbus gets a goalie if Tarasov isn't ready

Colorado gets a top-4 D man for cheap as a probable rental for a guy that the Flames have under team control for 4 seasons

Boston gets a C who can play top-6 if needed. Better option than Coyle in the top-6

Edmonton gets a better rental D man while dumping Ceci's contract. The cap hit doesn't matter for the Flames in this scenario.

Canucks get a top-4 guy who likes it there, and the Flames get assets for a guy who likely wasn't re signing either. Poolman just helps the cap. Starts on IR anyways

Lol, no **** the last 3 years is the past. Thats how time works. The problem is you said he's not the same player he once was, and injuries have taken a toll on him. Which makes no sense because clearly his performance hasn't dropped from those injuries as he hasn't fallen off at all. Unless you know about some secret hockey league thats taken place in the last 3 months since the season ended there hasn't been any fall off in terms of performance

He is 33 lost some steps.face it pal hes not the Tanev he once was.Facts dont lie he missed over 40 games in the last 3 yrs.So i guess you are right hes very good When he plays. We are looking for a full timer not a injury prone part timer.just saying.

You keep bringing up age and injuries but that does not change the fact that when he plays he is elite.

You aren't interested because you think your team is 3+ years from contending then sure. But you keep driving this false narrative, he has not lost any steps and his play jas not fallen off. He is a great addition to any team going for the cup because he is still a great player

Canucks still pass.like i said we would rather have a younger less injury prone player. You keep old Tanev like ive been saying We dont want him.Fact is hes older slower and with the same career injury history.IMHO.This is My opinion. Thanks for your input.

I don't have an issue with you not wanting him. I have an issue with you making false claims about him. The only fact os that he's older. His speed has jot fallen off

Flames pass. We can get a 1st elsewhere without having to take on the terrible Girard contract

This guy got into it with me about Tanev on another thread. He just really likes him as a player. I'd leave it alone.

Edmonton declines, we have enough lefties on the back end

That and Zadorov is a DOWNGRADE from Ceci, despite the author's assertion otherwise.

Ceci plays 1st pairing comp, Zadorov is a 3rd pairing defenseman. Expecting Edmonton to replace Ceci with Zadorov is insane, let alone asking them for 2 picks for their trouble.

What’s funny is every player who wore the CGY jersey last year is the best or elite or top whatever in every analytic category yet CGY missed the playoffs and they’d rather sell these players than keep them lol
