I really doubt Brisebois does that trade since he just traded for Jeannot giving up a crazy amount for him. Foote, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and a 5th... I don't think he'd wanna essentially give that up for Soderblom.

Cal Foote didn't get a qualifying offer so he's a free agent. Soderblom has massive upside and could be a legit top line player at some point. I don't think Detroit would actually do it. They should just sign Tanner Jeannot to a offer sheet but GM's are afraid of doing it I guess.. Seems like Tampa doesn't want to pay Jeannot

Even if you want to scratch Tony DeAngelo or trade him I would do this trade just to get rid of Ben Chiarot and his contract and you get Nicolas Deslauriers who can fight Reaves and Lucic who are in the division now

I can’t imagine you honestly believe this.. Soderblom is awesome but he’s a 3rd line guy. You can maybe believe he has some sort of 2nd line upside but there’s no way you believe he can be a top of the line guy

This. Right here. Avs tried to give a shot to Ryan Merkley (similar character issues) and didn't even let him set foot in the big league locker room when there were PLENTY of injuries.

There's nothing political about DeAngelo. There are SO MANY people in pro sports who most likely share his political beliefs and they have no problem fitting into a team or a locker room. If Torts didn't want to keep him........that should tell us everything we need to know.
