That is a truly idiotic trade from a Montreal POV. Montreal is trading a 1st, a decent depth piece, a prospect and their big body winger (at almost 50%!) for what? An overpaid goalie they don't have a roster spot for and winger who wants an outrageous contract and likely wouldn't sign in Montreal. All for what? Finishing higher than they probably want to.
