Columbus just doesn’t have room for either of those wings. Less than four mill in cap space right now, and neither is an upgrade on a wing already in Columbus’s top six.

May I ask why you think Labanc and Myers have the same trade value? I personally think Labanc is more valuable either way the trade goes, I would think Vancouver would have to add something to get that trade done.

There was a rumored Labanc for Myers 1 for 1 deal that Vancouver allegedly turned down. Myers is only more valuable to SJ if Karlsson is moved. Labanc logs 4th line minutes in SJ or is benched, the coaches don’t like him.

Canucks only make that trade if they absolutely need that extra 1.25mil in capspace for something specific.

Aside from that it makes no sense for Vancouver. Myers is the more valuable player. Plays the more valuable position. And will be more valuable at the deadline with retention.

Not about equal value. Grier and the new Regime are done with Lebanc, his inconstancy especially in his own zone and his size does not fit the players Grier wants
