Oh it's absolutely market value, just that maybe the fit isn't perfect, but Backlund wouldn't be good enough to fill the 2C role, so...3C

And? His dad played there for a couple of seasons. He was raised in Sweden. He spent more time in Washington. He has no ties to Calgary. Ask him where his home is he will either say sweden or TO.

Obviously I don't regard Calgary as being a great team next year. Certainly not cup contenders. Not even sure they're a playoff team as constructed
