In general your arguments be flawed. Everyone knows if Willy is available there will be a serious bidding war for him especially if its a sign and trade cant see it cant help you.

Even with those two moves you are still about $2m over the cap. I can see u getting a Horvat-like return but not more than that and certainly not the haul that your thinking that your going to get

And as we saw with Tree that doesnt really work

Horrible situation with Tkachuck and managed to turn it into a 1st + top 4 D + A player who had 100 points and CGY was cap strapped and in a world of bad since Gaudreau left

Then you got WPG with PLD and Van with Horvat.

Toronto at this point does not have to move Willy as mentioned. They can sign an extension or wait for the best offer as there will always be a team to overpay for Willy

Carolina decline. Necas is at worst as valuable as Nylander, probably more because of the age and team control. Pesce for Lilly and Robertson is just not enough

I see what you're talking about... I don't think Murray has an injury that you can put him on LTIR with and $3m is probably not enough to resign Samsonov

I see what you're talking about... I don't think Murray has an injury that you can put him on LTIR (unless I'm missing something) with and $3m is probably not enough to resign Samsonov if you can't put Murray on LTIR

Oh he does trust me go look at his history. Last one was a concussion

What we saw with Mike Smith will probs happen with Murray as he played all last season then all of a sudden report said going to LTIR in August due to nagging injury and rest was history'

LTIR rules have been an issue for years and League never goes against team doctors

Look at Kucherov in 2020

VGK this and last season

Etc.

Teams have been abusing LTIR for years and the league has done nothing
