Saving 2 mil on the cap by not having 3 goalies. That rookie goalie is given a lot of starts with a good AHL team. And they shed 5 mil that goes towards Karlsson... this is all pluses for the Canes. But I get it.. 'out side the box thinking' is not something easily understood by those that arent able to see the big picture

Or... they can keep Pesce and not give him away for scraps, and get Karlsson anyway because they have room half retained! Kochetkov carries an 800k AHL penalty, it's not making a f**king difference, this is utter homerism, don't try and justify it now, it's comical bias.
