Carolina has shown interest in Marchment in the past, I wonder if that still has some legs. Maybe not cause they just signed Bunting but I’m just thinking out loud

If they’re inclined to take on Marchment, they’re getting a pretty good haul with Mavrik Bourque plus a pick. Questions surround them if they’re in on Karlsson and if so, gotta think Pesce is the odd man out (from an outsiders perspective). Mavrik Bourque on ELC money would be great for Carolina

I don’t think both Marchment and Faksa will be moved, I think it’ll be just one and I think it’s gonna be Faksa. I believe Faksa has more value than others believe and don’t think it’ll be a cap dump when it’s all said and done.

Hakanpaa was brutal last year. I know Suter gets all the hate but Hakanpaa was significantly worse. Did I just talk us out of getting a 3rd round pick? Maybe, but Vancouver is still looking for RHD, especially big RHD. Hakanpaa is the kind of player Tocchet wants in his system whether you like it or not. This move also opens up room for Pesce

I don’t think a Suter buyout makes any sense this off season, though I think it makes a whole ton of sense next off season when raises are due, especially with some of the names on the FA market
