Still kind of hoping for a Center/dman/goalie that will be around possibly for 3/5 years, little scared of going into the deadline a bubble team, with 5 guys with the ability to walk for nothing, especially helly and scheifele. But demelo/dillon/niedreiter also. Was trying to dream up a 3 way deal that got helly and scheifele double retained to a contender via Philly and the jets could check some boxes, but a little above mine and Chevys level of creativity. I see some of the guys I thought Chevy should've acquired at the TDL are still unsigned, Sundqvist and Ritchie, one or both would be nice adds especially Sunny since he would be another option at center.

Who's this Viel guy they signed to a one-way contract? Seems like a 4th line tough guy type or an AHLer but if he's an AHL body then why sign him to a one-way contract, Ritchie would've been a better signing for that role cause he can put up points too.

REALLY HOPE AND PRAY 🙏 they're not thinking about trying to convince Helle to extend, he needs to be traded before the season starts, even if he came back to earth with his contract want and signed something in the $7.5-8.5M range it'll be a bad contract.

Would also be nice to see some movement on the blueline, some guys need to go to make room for some younger guys or just upgraded on. Like I wonder if the Jets could sign Dumba considering the cap crunch around the league, find a new home for DeMelo and sign Dumba, really need to upgrade that top pairing somehow.

I wonder what dumba is after for term and money, could be kind of interesting, I still feel like this is a bubble year, no matter what, but would love to have some pieces in place, for when some of the recent draftpicks start hitting. I force kids into this lineup though especially on the blueline, I would move demelo and Dillon, probably not getting Schmidt moved so settle for the 3 vets and 3 kids blueline, or whoever they decide with some team control and or contract, I would have possibly bite the bullet on Schmidt along with wheeler for buyouts and start fresh. Up front I like it, but still a little worried about lack of natural centers and forcing too many wingers to the middle. Helly trade hopefully brings back a goalie Center and a pick of some sort, hopefully scheifele brings back a defenseman and a pick, and a couple defenseman trades bring back Center depth and or picks. I’m impressed by the la haul, but could go for not, if they start the great search for 2c and 1c should really be on the wing or out of town. Optimism is increasing though.
