Calgary is gonna get a one and prospect or young player back. Probably nothing too sexy (think Neighbours)

Washington would likely want that one going the other direction. Sandin was good for the Caps after the trade from Toronto and no real reason to sell low

Also we are not in a position to be trading a 1st in the offseason. Way too many question marks with a whole group of new coaches and coming off a very poor year. Hanifin could potentially fix the problems. But in all reality unless Krug goes out (in my mind) we're going to be in the same boat. We can't adequately shelter Krug and Faulk and expect good things from our first pair.

I legitimately don’t think Washington would trade EITHER Sandin nor a 1st for that whole package. Brown is perhaps the most intriguing piece and he has ~25PTs in nearly 100 NHL Games. Not a lot to get excited about. Gaudette and Leddy have basically ZERO value in a trade.
