Well done! Like the Robinson and Seeler additions a lot! This seems very realistic.

Robinson would be such a good add for Tampa. I'm very loath to let him go but he's got more value to a contender than a rebuilder at this stage.

Curious to get your thoughts on a potential CRoss THall swap. I know the Hawks didn't previously have anything of interest because TBL is in win now mode, but THall 50% retained is good value.

Hall at $3m for two years would seem like a good fit in Tampa but I'm not sure it works out positionally. They have Hagel as 1LW and Stamkos mostly as 2LW. I'm not sure if Hall can play RW, although Tampa did use Hagel at times as 2RW last season. The other issue is Hall defensively. Cooper insists on his forwards being engaged defensively. Not Hall's strong suit.

As for a trade, I'd think Tampa adds for sure, but exactly what is hard to say. Maybe a 2nd?

Okay, so JBB sucks as a GM. Doesn't change what they should have received in return, given what worse ir equal level players were going for in the last few days..

Nah, after seeing what other similar players have gone for recently, it was just another bad deal from him.

Completely different subject, but okay. Hagel was an overpay, but he had the ability and potential to be what he is/us becoming for whichever team paid the price to get him. It also helped strengthen the team for the now by sacrificing future capital. The moving of McD, while it could've been argued came a year early, was also expected. With this whole approach of giving up the long term for the best chance to win now, even the exorbitant price paid for Jeannot could somewhat be defended. But to now apparently be unable to keep Killorn(expected but still unfortunate), and trade a guy with top 6 capability as well, for one single draft pick(not even a late 1st), runs completely counter to this supposed strategy. The cap was an issue, but losing both Colton and Killorn is indicative of terrible cap management and severely weakens the team moving ahead.

And see this is why i think this was the plan and the right one. i think too much stock has been given to colton because of one goal and playing very offense minded minutes with very good defensive players to cover for him and killorn unless he comes back at a very team friendly jordan staal deal, you let him walk and use money other places.

Colton has some of the best underlying metrics of any player that's getting 12 minutes a night. He was blocked from a.top 6 winger role the last two years only because of who Tampa had above him. The spot was open(unless Killorn re-signs, possible, but unlikely), and Tampa once again loses a very talented player for little to no return. The idea that JBB.has apparently valued keeping Tanner Jeannot over either Colton or Killorn is just the icing on this **** cake.
