Mcleod is not even close to comparable to Severson. The devils and Severson already agreed he was gonna get more money elsewhere. He's also older, didn't have a roster spot going into next year and the Devils didn't wanna pay him. He also only got traded so he could get an extra year from the Jackets on his deal.
