I think they move him for a 1st plus at the tdl if they think he won't stay. But chevy will likely (I hope) be working on extensions for him and demelo come july 1st.

I don't think winnipeg gets chytil and a first for only 1 year of scheifele even at 50% retained. I was more trying to find a guy that would balance the trade value out. Chytil is signed for a couple of more seasons. My player of interest would be chaz lucius, but I know winnipeg and their fans love him, so I'm trying not to draw too much hate, haha. If I were the rangers, I would need a player back that is like nino or lucius from a value perspective because it would be high way robbery at that point in my opinion if they didn't. Which player on winnipeg realistically fits that description who is semi-available (forward would be preferable)? Would appleton or lowry work/fit?

If you dropped Pesce and Drury, Carolina would reject. You're several pieces away from getting Carolina to eat that Trouba contract. When I say several pieces, I mean an Othmann and probably a Lafreniere. Lindblom is good, but not great. I like Cuylle and I thought he played really well when he got called up last year. Trouba makes 8 million for the next 4 years. Everyone knows New York is stuck in cap hell.

Yeah, Trouba is a bit of a nonstarter for the Canes. The only reason the Canes would even want him would be SJ he doesn’t head hunt the Canes players. Still a couple of major pieces away from being able to move him, and even moreso to even get Pesce.

Oh, I thought you were getting scheifele with an extension done. Tbh, I wouldn’t move young assets for Chytik if I’m the jets. Especially Lucius. And lowry won’t be moved any time soon.

Considering the sheer number of jets stars on the trading block, I don’t think chevy will be enternating many offers for other players right now.
